The living room in the historic Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, evokes its 19th century past. The lighthouse was built in Newport, Oregon in 1871 and decommissioned only three years later. It is believed to be the oldest structure in Newport and the only wooden lighthouse in Oregon that is still standing.

Antique Stove In The Yaquina Head Lighthouse

An antique stove is the centerpiece of the kitchen at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse, constructed in 1872, stands 93 feet tall and is built on a narrow promontory of land sitting nearly a mile out into the Pacific Ocean. It is Oregon's tallest lighthouse. The oil-burning lamp has been replaced with this 1000-watt globe at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse but the light still shines every night to alert mariners to this hazardous stretch of coastline.

An antique generator from the Granite silver mine sits on display at a park in Phillipsburg, Montana. Silver was mined in Granite starting in the 1870's but the mine was abandoned during the silver panic of 1893.

Antique Hand Pump Fire Extinguisher

Fire extinguisher sits on the back of a 1942 Pirsch fire engine on display in the courtyard of the Museum at the Brig at Farragut State Park in northern Idaho. The park was originally built as Farragut Naval Training Station to train sailors the the US Navy during World War II.
