Antique Stove In The Yaquina Head Lighthouse

An antique stove is the centerpiece of the kitchen at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse, constructed in 1872, stands 93 feet tall and is built on a narrow promontory of land sitting nearly a mile out into the Pacific Ocean. It is Oregon's tallest lighthouse. The oil-burning lamp has been replaced with this 1000-watt globe at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse but the light still shines every night to alert mariners to this hazardous stretch of coastline.
