Braille Trail In Beck Lake Park

Beck Lake Park in Cody, Wyoming features a Braille Trail, for visually-impaired visitors. The signage along the 1/4-mile trail discusses the natural features of the area in both printed English and Braille. The location of the signs is made evident to those walking the trail through the use of bricks that change the tactile surface, indicating to a blind user that there is a sign to be read.

    1. It was the first time we had ever seen anything like it. What is odd that on the edge of this Braille trail is a sign that reads “watch for rattlesnakes”, so how is a blind person suppose to watch for snakes? Thought that was a bit funny.
