Morning Clouds Over Bowman Lake – Glacier National Park

Remnants of clouds from a summer storm partially obscure the mountains in the Livingston range as they reflect in the still waters near the head of Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. Bowman Lake is located in a remote area along the western edge of the park in Montana.

    • thank you, it was a moment to remember. Two of our people did go into to the lake to wash off and cool off. Sorry, no dogs allowed back there.

    • We had kayaked to the back of the lake and spent 2 nights. This was the layover night and the clouds were pretty in the morning. They say you cannot take a bad photo in Glacier NP. I was struck by the reflection of the clouds and mountains in the calm water. Hope you can find that peace where ever you go.

      • If you ever get back there, try the western side. Most people go on the Going to the sun road to Logan pass, look around and then leave. The western side takes more effort to reach but has less people and great places to hike and paddle. have a great weekend. Jim
